Where in KS are you? According to my coworkers, it starts to snow around Thanksgiving.

I can only speak for the Kansas City area, but early December is usually when it finally gets cold (around freezing). I would say November, but we always seem to get a warm snap around Thanksgiving (60's or higher).

Yeah, according to my coworkers on Ft. Leavenworth, the first week of December is about right for snow.

I actually happen to like the below freezing and sub-zero temps. Of course much of that is because I spend as much time outside during the winter as I can.

The one thing Minnesota and Wisconsin can agree on? Kansas was always a part of the South to me growing up. South = warm.
